Day 156 Lake Okeechobee

Lake Okeechobee   Is the largest freshwater lake in the Florida. It is the seventh largest freshwater lake in the United States  and the second largest freshwater lake contained entirely within the lower 48 states. Lake Okeechobee covers 1,900 square kilometres and is exceptionally shallow for a lake of its size, with an average depth of only 3 metres (9 feet). The lake is divided between Glades, Okeechobee, Martin, Palm Beach, and Henry counties.

Been there! Went to go camping in the keys, but ended up not getting further than Uncle Joe’s Fish Camp! He ‘rented’ us his grass to put our tents up on!

I’ve been to Lake Okeechobee. It’s really lovely there. Nice photo.
